The course will cover all aspects of the theory and practical elements of this subject, with preparation and guidance to produce case studies to meet accreditation criteria for certification through the awarding body.
This course will show you how to perform one of the most powerful treatments, using specific techniques and giving full details of the effects, spiritually, emotionally and physically to the body. Producing a true holistic treatment that can be performed through the clothes and whilst sitting on a chair!
The aims and outcomes for the course are:
Aim : to fully prepare qualified therapists to safely prepare equipment and client for a treatment and to safely perform an effective Indian Head Treatment.
Outcomes to be able to:
• Identify related Anatomy & Physiology including Hair growth & stages.
• Identify historical facts relating to the treatment.
• Identify the contra indications to treatment
• Identify the benefits of the treatments.
• Identify Chakras’ locations.
• Explain the main Doshas and oils linked to each : Vata, Pitta, Kapha
• Provide effective Home Advice
• Prepare the area and client before and after treatment
• Identify any possible Health & Safety requirements.
• Perform a treatment routine demonstrating classical massage movements.
• Identify further treatments required.
The contents of the course will be mainly practical and therefore students are required to wear appropriate attire fitting to the therapy.
You will need to bring: towels,oil and antibacterial wipes.
At the satisfactory completion of the theory, practical and Case studies, an accredited certificate will be awarded.
A knowledge of A&P and/or massage or similar is required.
